You can build a life in Paris and still feel out of place.
You don’t have to keep making it look easy.
When life abroad feels harder than it looks
You may be new to France, or have lived here for years. From the outside, things might seem settled. Inside, you may feel lonely, under pressure, or unsure what comes next.
Missing a sense of belonging
You have people around you, but miss the ease of feeling known. Building close relationships takes more energy than you expected.
Caught between different lives
You feel pulled between countries, relationships or expectations. Decisions about staying, leaving or changing direction keep circling.
Always keeping things together
Work, administration and everyday responsibilities get done. Switching off, asking for help or enjoying your time feels harder.
Struggling beyond the move
Anxiety, relationship difficulties or old patterns may have followed you here. They deserve attention, whether or not living abroad is the cause.
You don’t need to be in crisis, or have a clear explanation, to begin a conversation.
Practical therapy for the life you’re living
We make space to understand your experience and work on responses you can use beyond the session.
Together, we can:
Understand what is weighing on you
Look at the pressures, relationships and recurring patterns that are making life difficult, in the context of your own story.
Clarify what matters to you
Explore what you want from relationships, work and life in France, including where your own priorities differ from other people’s expectations.
Respond differently to difficult thoughts
Practise noticing worry and self-criticism without automatically letting them decide what you do next.
Take manageable steps
Try different ways of responding in everyday situations, then review together what is useful and where you still feel stuck.
My work draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, or ACT, alongside relational and other therapeutic perspectives. ACT helps us explore how to make room for difficult thoughts and feelings while taking action guided by what matters to you.

Practical therapy,
grounded in real experience
I have lived in Italy, Ireland and France. I know that making a life in another country involves more than finding somewhere to live or learning how things work. It can change your relationships, your sense of identity and where you feel at home.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked in corporate finance. That experience also shapes my understanding of responsibility, uncertainty and the pressure to appear capable.
I hold an MA in Psychotherapy. My approach is collaborative, thoughtful and practical: I listen carefully, help you explore what is happening, and work with you on possible ways forward.
Your experience will be your own. Our sessions are a place to understand it without needing to make it sound more serious, more organised or more acceptable.

These short introductory calls are a chance to talk briefly about what is happening, ask questions, and explore whether this approach feels like the right fit for you.
Many people I work with arrive feeling anxious, stuck, overloaded, or tired of repeating the same patterns. — it is simply to begin.
